Ready for another eclipse

Hopefully you haven't forgotten the great celestial event of a couple of weeks ago. I for one have not, and in fact I miss it already. It was a sight to see indeed! My glasses are sitting on a cabinet in my room, and sometimes I want to put them on and go outside and stare up at the sun, wishing for another eclipse. The way the world looked and felt was just magical, like nothing I may never get to experience again in my lifetime.
The thing that makes me want it to come again though is not what it was, but what it did. I don't know how you experienced it, but I was with my family and if the world had ended right at that moment I would have been at peace with everything. For a few moments we were all together, and there was nothing but love and wonderment. Grandmother down to great grandchild stood together on my parents back deck and it was like we were all children again for a brief time. No cares about sickness, troubled relationships, financial problems. We were all in the moment, and it was like the moon eclipsed our troubles as it eclipsed the sun.
My family always gets together for Thanksgiving, Christmas, birthdays, other holidays. We love to get together, and we have a good time when we do. This time though it felt even more special since this was not just a yearly tradition. It was special for me because I am usually at work on holidays and such so I miss these gatherings. So I was just happy to see all my brothers and their families come over, and thankful to the most high to have another day with my grandmother. She is going through a lot late in life, and I am thankful that she had a good day! So very thankful for my mother, cousin, and others that give so much to try and make her life better!
I hope that everyone got to experience something like what I did, and I hope you are the better for it like I am. Now I can't write about the day without sharing a quote from my eight year old nephew. We were talking about another eclipse like this one coming in 50 years or 150 years or something. I said something about not being around to see it. He replied "You can still see it from heaven". I don't where that boy gets it from, but PRAISE JESUS that he got heaven on his mind!

A Little Disturbed III

Lastly there have been some anti-Semitic language used recently by a few black people of prominence. For some of them I must say this is not new and if you go back you will see that they have made similar statements in the past. Even if they actually had some basis for what they have said, it is drawing attention away from the message of police brutality and injustice. I want to unequivocally say that any Antisemitism or Racist language against white people is just as wrong as what they say against black people. People saying and doing such things should not be supported and need to admit their wrong and try to make amends and learn. I did read that Nick Cannon has made efforts to do that, and I pray this helps him grow as a person.      Now I know that ...

Preview of Monsters

Here is a sneak preview of my new book Monsters. I hope you enjoy and be looking out for the eBook being available in the next few days on Amazon and the print edition in the next few weeks. Tucked away on the outskirts of the town of Nairabba is the closest thing to a den of iniquity in all of Kwandu. The Flat Wheeled Wagon Tavern is suited for and was created too, serve traders passing through this part of Kwandu who are looking for a discrete good time. The tavern is away enough from the eyes of all the proper town’s people that it can raise a ruckus and straddle lines of impropriety without bothering anyone. Everyone, including the local priest, knows what goes on in the tavern, but chooses to look the other way. This is probably because secretly a number of the high ranking and influential townsfolk are frequent guest of the establishment. Also as far as the Institute and its priest are concerned, the Flat Wheel as it’s commonly called, does not overtly break any of the most...
